why “Unalii”?

[oo-nah-lee-ee]

friend /frĕnd/ [noun]

1) one attached to another by affection or esteem;

2) a person whom one knows, likes, and trusts;

3) one who supports, sympathizes with, or patronizes a group, cause, or movement;

4) one that is not hostile

(Merriam-Webster online; The Free Dictionary by Farlex online)

Unalii is “friend” in Tsalagi (the Cherokee language), the language of my ancestors. Inside of this word is a vibrational bridge for remembering both where I come from and where I want to go. Thus, the idea was born to develop an art business model around this beautiful word gifted to us from those who came before.

It is with a deep desire to perpetuate what it is to approach others as a “friend” that I offer my own creations. In a world overwhelmed by much fear, anger, and hatred (with heightened focus on these from mass media), I feel this soul urge to share my gifts as a medicine. My art is offered in earnest with the hope that it may serve as a healing balm for both the individual and collective soul.

So, as a friend, as unalii, I bring you my creations.

My mission is to bring Good Medicine into lives by providing an avenue for soul expression. This is done at affordable prices to you, so we can all spread the health and wealth of uplifting humanity through beauty, prayerful intention, and clarity for the spirit.

I love to create art inspired by nature! This includes both visual art to hang on your wall and wearable art to show your personal vibes while out and about. Many pieces will feature up-cycled elements found at thrift stores, reclaimed from broken jewelry, or out in nature to create something new and fresh.
